Applications of the Environmental Meter

For example it is possible to monitor the quality of goods being transported by truck or plane with them so that you can find out if there is any problem with the tyres or other equipment. Environmental meters can be mounted on vehicles like cars and trucks; these vehicles are used for transporting goods like food products or chemicals.


Meteorological station

A Meteorological station measures weather data by using a meteorological station that provides readings for humidity, temperature , wind speed and wind direction as well as barometric pressure. It can also provide rain gauge readings as well as rainfall rate and average rainfall per hour since last recorded rainfall . The data can then be downloaded from the meteorological station using a computer which is connected to the weather station via a USB cable.


Automated indoor/outdoor monitoring system

However, it’s important to note that relying on one instrument will not provide you with all the information you need to determine if your environment is healthy or not.

Therefore it’s very important to set up an automated indoor/outdoor monitoring system in order to obtain accurate and reliable results in terms of humidity and temperature in places such as: walls, ceilings, floors, furniture, appliances, lights and heating systems.

Different forms of environmental meter instruments:

These offer high accuracy and range. They are easy to use and require little maintenance. They usually have a low operating voltage, so they do not require battery or power supply.

The measurements can be used as a starting point for your data analysis. Some handheld environmental meters can also measure dew point, which is an important factor in the life cycle of materials such as paints, varnishes and glues.


Tabletop environmental Meter instruments:

These offer very good accuracy and range, but they are more expensive than handheld ones and require a power supply. They often have modular connectors and may accept different types of sensors such as measurement range if you want to expand their capabilities.

The measurements can be used as a starting point for your data analysis of temperature humidity for example, or as a backup for any other type of sensors if they fail.
