Airmar 150WX Land Based Mobile Weather Station
The WeatherStation 150WX is designed for land-based weather monitoring—particularly mobile applications. With a built-in GPS and electronic compass, it is the model of choice for portable or mobile situations. This is based on its GPS position and time-stamping functionality and a compass which self-aligns to north. Orienting the sensor to north is not required.
Theoretical wind speed and direction are important for many applications and often mission-critical. On moving vehicles the 150WX calculates the theoretical wind speed and direction based upon the apparent wind, speed of the vehicle, and vehicle heading.
Packed with features and encased in a durable, rugged, small-footprint housing that is IPX6 rated, the 150WX can be deployed as an integral component of a larger system. It has been successfully used with the JBTDS HazMat program and on OEM’s mobile agricultural platforms.
