Stormglasses

The Stormglass is an enigmatic weather predictor that has been used since 1750. This mysterious glass consists of two pieces: a stoppered, bulbous blue bottle and a clear, hourglass-shaped bowl. The Stormglass Bowl contains an evaporating liquid (usually alcohol and distilled water) and is placed upside down on top of the Andromeda Tron which is itself placed on top of the Bottle. To calculate the weather forecast, the container must be turned horizontally and then righted before reading the many bubbles that will emerge from the glass. These bubbles are interpreted as signs of change in weather patterns.

Stormglasses are a type of flint glass used as a weather predictor. They display different cloud patterns to indicate changes in weather conditions based on the time of day and sunspot activity.

While the storm glass itself is still a mystery, it still does take the guesswork out of predicting weather patterns.
